Introduction to Design of Experiments (IDOEW) - This is a practical and “Hands-on” introduction to the concepts of experimental design from a perspective of process and product design. Participants will leave with an understanding of how to select the proper design matrix, selection of parameters to study, and how to analyze the results of experiments. Topics covered include: design resolution, development of fractionated designs, determination of experimental error, graphical methods of analysis, screening designs, a comparison of Taguchi vs Western approaches, conversion of orthogonal to process settings, and methods of design validation.
Duration: Oct 12 & 13, 2006 (Thu & Fri), 9AM-4:30PM (14 hours). Fee: $349
Each participant will receive a copy of “The Desk Reference of Statistical Quality Methods” by Mark L. Crossley (or a reduced price if he/she already has the text).
